Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced it will allow doctors participating in Medicare’s new payment system four options to comply with the first year of the law and avoid penalties, which are set to hit in 2019.
The options are as follows: 1. Test the Quality Payment Program 2. Participate for part of the calendar year 3. Participate for the full calendar year 4. Participate in an Advanced Alternative Payment Model in 2017 More information about each of these choices can be found here.
